<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road traffic information system for detecting abnormality of road traffic without using a camera, and certainly providing road traffic information thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this road traffic information system, the abnormality of the road traffic is detected, and is provided as the road traffic information. The road traffic information system has: uplink information collection devices 1A, 1B each collecting uplink information including a vehicle ID for specifying a vehicle from an on-vehicle device 20 loaded in the vehicle traveling on a road; and a road traffic decision device 4 executing a decision processing for lane blockade and a decision processing for traffic jam based on the uplink information.
