PURPOSE: A capacitive internal electrode fluorescent lamp and lighting apparatus using the same are provided to increase the capacitance value by using the high dielectric constant and the high puncture voltage. CONSTITUTION: A CIFL(Capacitive Internal-electrode Fluorescent Lamp) includes the conductive electrode(20) coated with the discharge tube(10) and dielectric(21). The fluorescent substance is coated in the inner wall of the discharge tube. The discharge tube is filled with Ne, Ar, and the discharge gas like He. The conductive electrode is inserted inside the discharge tube. The surface of the conductive electrode is coated with a dielectric. The conductive electrode installs in the both ends of the discharge tube. The dielectric coating shell of the surface of the conductive electrode prevents the excess current and performs the dielectric function of a capacitor.
