<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high rigidity spacer enabling an adaptable space to be changed and showing an excellent assembling property. Ž<P>SOLUTION: One surface (a front paper 1) of an original paper is provided with a first folding line 17 for a narrow column to define a first abutting surface 11A, a second folding line 18 for a narrow column to define a first outer surface 13A together with the first folding line 17 for a narrow column and a third folding line 19 for a narrow column to define a first opposite surface 14A together with the second folding line 18 for a narrow column and to define a first inner surface 15A. They are folded to cause one surface of the original paper to be positioned inside to enable a narrow column 12A to be formed. The other surface (a rear paper 2) of the original paper is provided with a first folding line 21 for a wide column to define a second abutting surface 11B, a second folding line 22 for a wide column to define a second outer surface 13B together with the first folding line 21 for a wide column and a third folding line 23 for a wide column to define a second opposed surface 14B together with the second folding line 22 for a wide column and define a second inner surface 15B.
