<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely obtain electromagnetic wave leakage prevention effects, using an inexpensive constitution, while maintaining ease of maintenance by minimizing the workload of a worker, and to improve the flexibility in product designing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An electromagnetic wave shielding device is such that a control board 302 is covered with a shielding box 301 having an opening 309; a shielding lid 303 for closing the opening 309 of the shielding box 301, and groups of conductive flat springs 308, which are brought into contact with the shielding box 301 and the shielding lid 303 to provide electrical continuity across the shielding box and the shielding lid, to prevent leakage of electromagnetic waves emitted from the control board 302. The groups of conductive flat springs 308 consist of multiple groups of conductive flat springs 308. The multiple groups of conductive flat springs 308 are disposed, being spaced apart from each other, around the opening 309. The distance X [cm], between each two adjacent groups of conductive flat springs 308, satisfies the expression 1.5 [cm]≤X<1/4λ [cm], where λ is the wavelength of the frequency of the electromagnetic waves emitted from the control board 302.
