PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backing flux for one-side submerged arc welding which can provide a sound sealing bead with stable shape and appearance by securing satisfactory adhesion between a backing flux and the back face of the bevel of a steel sheet to be welded, and to provide a one-side submerged arc welding method using the same. SOLUTION: The backing flux for one-side submerged arc welding is used for a one-side submerged arc welding method in which the backing flux is used together with a copper plate as a backing, is pressed against the back face of the bevel of the steel plate to be welded together with the copper plate while sprayed onto the copper plate at a fixed thickness, and welding is performed while forming a sealing bead from the surface side of the bevel. The backing flux has a powdering ratio of 3.0 to 10.0%. The one-side submerged arc welding method using the backing flux is also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
