PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive method for strengthening surrounding ground of an existing small-scale underground structure, which dispenses with large-scale construction equipment, and which is superior in the transmission efficiency of vibrational energy. SOLUTION: In this method for strengthening the surrounding ground of the existing small-scale underground structure, a vibration exciter is installed on the top and/or inside of the underground structure which is equipped with at least a structure body, so as to vibrate the underground structure as a vibrating medium by the vibrations of the vibration exciter.
