<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device and an operation detection method capable of correctly detecting an operation, regardless of the number of contact points, and reducing a load on input detection processing. <P>SOLUTION: The operation detecting method includes: an acquisition step of acquiring contact states from a plurality of sensor elements by prescribed cycle; a specifying step of specifying the sensor element as a change sensor element, where the contact state is changed into the contact state before one cycle; a counting step of counting the contact state change before one cycle in the sensor element adjacent to the change sensor element as a movement value by each direction; and a movement amount calculating step of calculating a movement amount by dividing a cumulative value obtained by cumulating the movement values of the whole change sensor elements by each direction, by the number of the change sensor elements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
