<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content management system capable of achieving both the protection of the right of a right holder and user convenience. <P>SOLUTION: A reproduction device 2 sends a reproduction device identification code for identifying itself to an authentication server device 4. The authentication server device 4 generates authentication data including the reproduction device identification code and sends the data to the reproduction device 2. The reproduction device 2 uses the authentication data received and provides an authentication display in a display unit for displaying content. A mobile terminal device 6 acquires the authentication data by imaging the authentication display displayed in the reproduction device 2, and sends an authentication request to the authentication server device 4 while adding right data that it owns. The authentication server device 4 determines whether or not the right data included in the authentication request is legitimate and, if it is legitimate, specifies the reproduction device based on the reproduction device identification code included in the authentication request, and sends reproduction-enabling data to the reproduction device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
