<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and power-saving image stabilization apparatus capable of reducing a positional deviation of an image formed on an image plane which may be caused by the weight of first and second correction lenses. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image stabilization apparatus includes: a first driven means including the first correction lens 10a; a second driven means including the second correction lens 10b having power opposite to that of the first correction lens; a supporting means configured to support the first driven means and the second driven means movably on a plane perpendicular to an optical axis; and a connecting means 19a configured to mechanically connect the first driven means and the second driven means so as to enable the second driven means to move in a direction opposite to the moving direction of the first driven means on the plane perpendicular to the optical axis.
