<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost headrest being changeable into a retracted state and a hanger state (a use state), sufficiently exerting a holding strength of a grip in the hanger state, having a high usability and being non-obstructive when being retracted. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This headrest includes: a headrest body 11 that has a hanger retractable depressed step 18 at a lower part of a headrest back face 16 and a bracket embedding depression 19; right/left stays 15 and 15 projecting to a headrest lower face 17; right/left grips 47 and 48 that is formed of a fixing hanger bracket 25, a stem part 21, and a hanger beam part 22, and is supported at the hanger beam part 22 by right/left cantilever bars 49, 50, 51, and 52 to be extractable/retractable with respect to the right/left ends 23 and 24; and an inverted T hanger 20 that is vertically swingably connected to the fixing hanger bracket 25 at the stem part 21 to be freely pushed down/pulled up into the retractable depressed step (the retracted position) 18 or the hanger state (the use state).
