<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove unevenness of a thickness of a DNA solution in hybridization, and to secure reliability and reproducibility in hybridization, concerning a substrate for a microarray. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This plastic substrate used for manufacturing a microarray wherein a specimen capturing part on which a material for capturing a biogenic substance is spot-contacted and immobilized is formed, and a solution which is a specimen is brought into contact with the specimen capturing part, and the biogenic substance which is a detection object is captured, to thereby determine existence or the amount thereof, comprises a substrate body and a cover. The substrate body has the recessed specimen capturing part on the substrate surface center part, and the cover has a projection part projected from the surface, and the recessed part of the substrate body and the projection part of the cover are fitted together with an interval having a fixed size formed between the specimen capturing part surface of the substrate body and the cover.
