<p>Implantable leads for use in, inter alias neurostimulation therapy and that comprise a coagulant reservoir accessible by a coagulant access port are disclosed. The coagulant reservoir comprises a porous membrane. When such a lead is implanted into a patient, coagulant fluid (preferably blood plasma) is injected or otherwise inserted into the coagulant reservoir via the coagulant access port. Coagulant fluid can then flow out of the coagulant reservoir, via coagulant apertures in the porous membrane, into the patient's body. Systems comprising such leads are also disclosed, as are methods of manufacturing such systems and/or leads.</p> |
