A method of providing a feedback value in a learning system is provided. The method provided includes determining a graphical content object to be displayed, wherein the graphical content object comprises a plurality of graphical content sub-objects, and determining a first graphical content sub-object from the graphical content object to be displayed, wherein the first graphical content sub-object is determined according to a user-settable difficulty level. The method provided further includes displaying the determined first graphical content sub-object, receiving a first user input in tracing the displayed first graphical content sub-object, and determining the feedback value according to the first user input received, wherein the feedback value comprises information indicating the performance of the user in relation to the user-settable difficulty level.
