<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a hot dip aluminum-plated steel sheet having excellent appearance capable of consistently suppressing generation of a pattern on a plating surface even when the operational condition such as Si% in an aluminum-plating bath is changed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the hot dip aluminum-plated steel sheet having excellent appearance, after adjusting the plating deposition on the steel sheet to be pulled up from a hot dip aluminum-plating bath containing Si and Ca in a continuous hot dip aluminum-plating line, the cooling rate CR from the primary crystal temperature to the eutectic temperature of a plating layer satisfies the inequality (A) 0.9×CRpre≤CR≤1.1×CRpre, where CRpre=f(Si%, Ca%)=4.9×10<SP>-3</SP>×LS×(659.05e-0.0096Si%+500Ca%-577) [wherein CRpre is a pre-AJC set cooling rate (°C/sec); LS is a line speed (mpm); Si% is the Si concentration (mass%) in a plating bath; and Ca% is the Ca concentration (mass%) in the plating bath].
