OPTIMIZED SECTION DESIGNMETHOD FOR ILM BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION NOSE

PURPOSE: An optimized section design method for a launching nose of an ILM(Incremental Launching Method) bridge is provided to calculate absolute maximum bending moment generated in launching easily and to minimize the absolute maximum bending moment at intermediate support. CONSTITUTION: An optimized section design method for a launching nose of an ILM bridge is as follows. The shape of a girder is determined. The unit weight ratio of a launching nose proper for the determined girder shape. The optimum launching nose length ratio corresponding to the unit weight ratio is calculated using the determined unit weight ratio. The absolute maximum torsion positive moment and negative moment generated in launching of a girder are calculated using the determined unit weight ratio. The section of the launching nose is designed so that the absolute maximum torsion positive moment and negative moment are less than the designed section force of a girder.
