<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection-type video display device which prevents dust due to air suction from the outside of a set by a fan from entering the inside of the device, prevents the dust from adhering to an video display element or optical parts, even if dust infiltrates into the set and maintains superior performance over a long time. <P>SOLUTION: The projection type video display device is provided with a pre-filter which mechanically interrupts infiltration of large dust, a dust charging part 6-1 which is constituted of a discharge electrode and a counter electrode, and a dust collection part for collecting the dust charged by the dust charging part, which is constituted of a high-voltage electrode and a dust collecting electrode, in order starting from an air intake side. Then, a charged main filter which mechanically sucks air having passed through the dust collection part is arranged, and a discharger 20 which electrically neutralizes the ionized dust is arranged at a subsequent stage of the main filter. The video display device is equipped with ventilation fans 112a and 112b sending the sucked air, and is constituted of a part of members that constitute an illumination optical system and a video display element are cooled by a cooling fan. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
