<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that an applicator designed so as to form a coating film while having its coating head contact the surface to be coated sometimes scratches the coating solution off with the coating head contacting the surface and generates a portion without any coating solution resulting in an exposed portion of the surface to be coated, for example a portion of an object to be corrected that is not covered with a correction liquid. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A projection formed at the tip of the coating head forms a recess that does not contact the surface to be coated.
