<p>A safety device for a portable cashbox is disclosed. The portable cashbox includes a drawer 5 movably installed in a body 2 and having a key assembly 6 and a money inlet hole 7 provided on a front surface thereof, and means for opening or closing the drawer 5 having an operating bar 10 installed on a bottom portion of the drawer in such a way that the operating bar 10 comes in contact with the bottom surface of the drawer 5. A center portion of the operating bar 10 is pivotally engaged to the bottom portion of the drawer 5 by a hinge 11, and an end of the operating bar 10 is inserted in a groove 5a formed on a bottom surface of the drawer, and is moved by rotating the rotor 20a in rear of the key assembly with a key, so that locking means is unlocked by moving a locking end 12 protruding upwardly from a front end of the operating bar and abutting against a stepped portion of the rotor 20 to open the drawer. The safety device includes a safety locking end 15 protruding upwardly from the front end of the operating bar 10 in rear of the rotor 20 and abutting against the rotor, so that the operating bar is not moved by forcible manipulation of the operating bar, but is moved by rotation of the rotor using the key. The safety device can solve a safety problem by a simple construction in which the safety locking end is bent from the front end of the operating bar.</p> |
