PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine which enhances the performance ability in the promotion to a variable probability state by the smooth progress of performance even when whether the promotion to the variable probability state should be made or not is determined by an internal lottery processing. SOLUTION: In the pinball game machine, the players are notified whether the probability of shifting to a special game should be varied or not directly or indirectly at a timing out of three timings or more containing at least those before and during the implementation and after the end of the special game. When the notification is made before the implementation of the special game, a sub game control means executes no sub game; or when no notification is made before the implementation of the special game, the sub game is executed during the execution of the special game. When the notification is made during implementation or after the end of the special game, whether the notification should be made during the implementation or after the end of the special game is determined according to the result of the sub game.
