PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a menu control method thereof are provided to set an information range for recognizing a voice command as an information area related to a service area according to an operation state or mode of a terminal, thereby improving a voice recognition rate. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal(100) includes a microphone, a signal input unit, a memory, and a controller. The microphone(122) receives a voice command. The signal input unit receives a signal for controlling activation of a voice recognition function. The memory(160) builds information related to each menu and function of a mobile terminal in a database. The controller(180) specifies a range of information to be referred in the database by a preset range. |
