CEMENT ADDITIVE AND CEMENT COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cement additive which effectively controls the formation of monosulfates and produces a cement hardened body excellent in durability (resistance against sulfates) and a cement composition.

SOLUTION: The cement additive contains calcium carbonate, gypsum, and silica fume. Preferably, it further contains coal ash and/or furnace slag. The cement composition contains the cement additive, which effectively controls the formation of monosulfates in a cement hardened body and enables the production of a cement hardened body excellent in resistance against sulfates.
