<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound useful for treating various metabolic disorders such as insulin-resistance syndrome, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, fatty liver disease, cachexia, obesity, atherosclerosis, and arteriosclerosis. <P>SOLUTION: The compound is a medical agent, which is a biologically active agent, is represented by the following formula or is a pharmaceutically receptible salt of the above represented compound.
