<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage water heater of a simple constitution free from water hammering phenomenon. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This storage water heater includes: a hot water storage tank 1 for storing hot water; a first water supply pipe 4 for supplying the water to a lower section of the hot water storage tank 1; a bath hot water supply pipe 30 for supplying the hot water of the upper section of the hot water storage tank 1 to a bathtub; a second water supply pipe 6 branched from the first water supply pipe 4; and a bath mixing means 5 connecting the bath hot water supply pipe 30 and the second water supply pipe 6 to produce hot water of a proper temperature. The bath mixing means 5 is provided with a closing function, so that the mixing means is driven from a closed state, and the water is gradually increased to be heated, thus the water hammering in starting hot water supply can be prevented.
