PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marker and a method for accurately, inexpensively, and rapidly carrying out individual identification and parentage test of cattle. SOLUTION: Provided is the method for individual identification and the method for parentage test, a primer set useful for the determination and a reagent kit including the primer set, wherein the method includes a step of finding out 44 kinds of gene polymorphisms having a specific sequence, in particular a single nucleotide polymorphism and an indel polymorphism, a step of using these single nucleotide polymorphism as a marker for identification and parentage test of cattle, analyzing DNA of the subject cattle using these single nucleotide polymorphism as an index, and a step of determining the index polymorphism.
