<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that allows even a user unaccustomed to electronic books to easily perform a page feeding operation and a page returning operation in an intuitive way. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes a display means including two display units, i.e., a first display unit and a second display unit. The first and second display units are openably and closably connected together by a connection means. The display device also has an opening/closing detection means for detecting changes in opening/closing angle, which is an angled formed by the display surface of the first display unit and the display surface of the second display unit. When a change in the opening/closing angle is detected, an image displayed in the display means is changed. When an image is displayed using book data, the page number of a page to be displayed is changed. The designation of the amount of pages to be changed is accepted in advance, whereby pages are fed and/or returned by the amount of pages to be changed. Also, acceleration and the direction of acceleration during opening and closing are determined using an acceleration sensor and an angular velocity sensor, and the amount of change when pages are changed is determined based on the determination results. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
