PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cleaning performance of a thermal storage combustion device and to reduce the size, weight, and cost of the device. SOLUTION: The thermal storage combustion device for cleaning exhaust gas containing combustible contaminants includes: two thermal storage chambers (4, 5) filled with storage bodies (2, 3); a combustion chamber (6); cleaning gas introducing ducts (7, 7'); a clean gas discharge duct (9); and a switching valve driven by an actuator. A one side connecting part of each of the thermal storage chambers (4, 5) is connected to the combustion chamber (6), and the other connecting parts of the thermal storage chambers (4, 5) are connected to ducts (11, 12), respectively. By an operation of the switching valve, the ducts (11, 12) are alternately connected to the cleaning gas introduction ducts (7, 7') and the clean gas discharge duct (9).
