PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor generating and managing information added to image data. SOLUTION: The image processor divides an input image into a plurality of regions, adds metadata to the divided regions, and stores them as objects in a storage device. In adding the metadata, first metadata is acquired from the image to the divided region, and similar images similar to the divided regions are retrieved. The first metadata is compared with the second metadata added to the retrieved similar images. The probability of the first metadata is thereby determined, and the first metadata determined to be probable is added as metadata of the region. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
