<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for inkjet printing excellent in dispersion stability and ejection stability, and excellent also in washing fastness and dry cleanability. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition includes an encapsulated product in which pigment particles having charge on the surface are covered with a wall material consisting mainly of a polymer, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water, wherein two or more types of encapsulated products different in the glass transition temperature of the polymer are used as the encapsulated product, and the polymer has the following (I) and (II), or wherein two or more types of encapsulated products different in the weight ratio of the pigment particles to the polymer are used as the encapsulated product, and the polymer has the following (I) and (II): (I) a repeating structural unit derived from an ionic polymerizable surfactant A having a charge opposite to the charge on the surface of the pigment particles, and/or a repeating structural unit derived from an ionic monomer having a charge opposite to the charge on the surface of the pigment particles; and (II) a repeating structural unit derived from an ionic polymerizable surfactant B having a charge which is opposite to the charge on the surface of the pigment particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
