<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress disorder of orientation of liquid crystal caused by pushing the display surface of a liquid crystal display by forming, as electrically independent one pixel, sub pixels formed by dividing a pixel into a plurality of pieces. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display is constituted of a plurality of pixels 40 each having reflection parts 5 and transmission parts 6 and comprising a plurality of alignment-dividing sub pixels 50. The liquid crystal display includes: an element layer 11 formed on a substrate 10; an insulating film 12 formed on the substrate 10 so as to cover the element layer; a pixel electrode 14 formed on the insulating film 12 so as to be connected to the element layer 11; and a gap adjustment layer 15 formed on the insulating layer 12 including a partial region of the pixel electrode 14, wherein the reflection part 5 has the gap adjustment layer 15 formed on the insulating film 12 and a reflection electrode 17 formed on the gap adjustment layer 15, the transmission part 6 has the pixel electrode 14 formed on the substrate 10 in a region except a region where the gap adjustment layer 15 is formed; and the pixel electrode 14 in the partial region and the reflection electrode 17 are connected to each other through a contact hole 18 provided in the gap adjustment layer 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
