The fitting has an armature operating rod and a coupling sleeve (30) made of plastic material, where the coupling sleeve has a cylindrical body with a rotation axis, and two closure surfaces (32, 33) that are perpendicular to the rotation axis. Polygonal recesses (35, 36) are guided inside the coupling sleeve symmetrically to the rotation axis of the cylindrical body. An insert made of material such as metal, glass, coal or basalt fibers, with higher compressive strength than plastic is arranged in the coupling sleeve. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an installation fitting.
