PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved navigator for solving the problem of a poorer visibility in conventional navigation systems, which occurs owing to smaller intersection closeup displayed on a monitor screen during route guidance. SOLUTION: By using this new navigation system, a distance from one's own car J to the intersection K, and an approaching status to the intersection K are instantaneously viewed, because a screen coverage ratio of the intersection closeup displayed on the indicator is varied as the car approaches the intersection K.
