摘要 A method for cold forming a segmented aluminum curved plate for spherical type LNG tank is provided to press-mod a cold plate material without heating it, thereby saving the cost for installation of heating furnace, transport facility and support. A method for cold forming a segmented aluminum plate for spherical type LNG tank includes a step of press-molding a segmented curved plate(10) gradually from one side to the other using an upper support(20a) and a lower support(30a). The upper support is smaller than the segmented curved plate and has a convex surface making contact with the segmented curved plate. The lower support is smaller than the segmented curved plate and has a concave surface making contact with the segmented curved plate. A buffer material is set up on the surfaces of the upper and lower supports contacting the segmented curved plate to prevent scratch on the segmented curved plate. In order to improve the production throughput, more than two segmented curved plates are superposed.
