A composition for oral cavity, which contains a fragment or extract of Luffa cylindrical is provided to have anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial effects and prevent oral inflammation. A composition for oral cavity comprises a fragment or extract of Luffa cylindrical or both of them. The size of the fragment of Luffa cylindrical is 1.0-6.0mm. The extract of the Luffa cylindrical is isolated using water, ethanol, buthanol, normal hexane, or 1,3-butyleneglycol. The composition for oral cavity is used in the form of toothpaste, cleaning agent for oral cavity, gum, candy, or oral spray.
