PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejecting device and a recording device, capable of stably maintaining high inspection accuracy by securing insulation between a nozzle plane of an ejecting head and a head cap. SOLUTION: A roll sheet printer 1 includes a reciprocally movable carriage 17, an inkjet head 14 mounted on the carriage 17, and a head cap 44 detachable and attachable from the lower side to an ink nozzle plane 14a having an ink nozzle provided in the inkjet head 14. The carriage 17 includes a groove 80 open in a lower side, formed as crossing between the inkjet head 14 and a positioning section 47 that is abutted on a pressing section 48 of a slider 41 holding the head cap 44 to position the head cap 44 in a plane direction with respect to the inkjet head 14.
