PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitation power control method for agitator by which an agitatiocan be performed with an optimal agitation power at all times by automatically controlling an agitation power in accordance with the change of liquid viscosity of liquid to be treated. SOLUTION: The agitation power control method of the agitator, by which the agitation is performed by rotating an agitation shaft 2 disposed in an agitation tank 1, includes: an inverter 4 for adjusting the number of revolution of a motor 3; a controller 5 for controlling the inverter 4; and a liquid amount meter 6 for measuring the liquid amount of the agitation tank 1 are disposed. The liquid amount of the agitation tank 1, the frequency of the inverter 4, the output current and output voltage are measured, thereby, power per agitation and liquid viscosity of real time are calculated and the frequency of the inverter 4 is controlled such that the calculated power per agitation becomes the power per agitation derived from a data table of the optimal power per agitation with respect to liquid viscosity and the calculated liquid viscosity.
