<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of suppressing decrease in subgrade reaction by inhibiting a gap from being made between a pile head and ground by a horizontal force during earthquakes. <P>SOLUTION: A method restrains subgrade reaction from being decreased by having a gap made around a pile head by a horizontal force acting on the pile head 2 during earthquakes. A recess 3 is formed in ground around the pile head so that the pile head can be positioned inside, and pre-filled with a granular material 4 having fluidity.
