PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor of high productivity and high quality without coming-off and misalignment of a fixing part, and leak of refrigerant. SOLUTION: A groove is provided on at least one of a cover case 103 or a cylindrical case 102 forming a hermetic vessel. A gap is formed at a fitting part 104. Formation of pin hole at a welding part 105 can be prevented by surely discharging welding fume generated during welding of the fitting part 104 to an outside of the fitting part 104.
