The die (1) has a die base (6) clamping into a tool holder (2) of a press bar of a bending press. A die head (8) forms a support surface (4) for a working part (3) and exhibits a V-groove (7). A measuring device (20) determines an angle (19) between sides (37, 38) of the working part. The measuring device is formed by a detecting unit (24) and a sensor (26) for actual data of a position change of a working part region relative to the die. The detecting unit is arranged in a region of a feeder crank (22) of the groove. The sensor is in line connection with a control device (36) of the press. An independent claim is also included for a method for bending of working part between a bending die and a bending punch of a bending press.
