APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FREQUENCY SYNCHRONIZATION IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

An apparatus and method for frequency synchronization in a mobile communication system are provided. The frequency synchronizer includes a communication unit and a frequency converter. The communication unit receives control information including frequency information of the private system and the public system, and receives a frequency signal in use from the private system. The frequency converter converts the received signal of the private system into a signal of the same frequency as a frequency of the public system using the frequency information of the public system.
