PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing cartridge reliably detecting that it is brand new. SOLUTION: The developing cartridge 30 includes a frame 32 for holding toning agent 31 inside, a developer roll 35 rotatably supported on the frame 32, an input portion 38 for entering driving force from outside, a gear group G for transmitting the driving force input in the input portion 38 to the developer roll 35, and a rotary body 41 for rotating at a certain amount after receiving the driving force applied by the gear group G. A detected portion 42 is arranged on the rotary body 41, and is arranged to move to a first detecting position and a second detecting position with respect to the rotary body 41.
