PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium processing device in which jumping of a medium tray is prevented, reliability for receiving a medium is improved by maintaining a medium in a state in which the medium is stored surely in a storing part of the medium tray, and various processing operations for the medium can be performed smoothly. SOLUTION: A publisher 1 includes a medium drive 41 provided with a medium tray 41a which includes a storage concave part 41b holding a plate-shaped medium M and which is capable of advancing and retreating, and a medium transporting mechanism 31 which performs transfer and reception of the medium M for the medium tray 41a of the medium drive 41, also provided with restraining members 102A 102B which restrain a tip of the medium tray 41a projected at the prescribed position at which transfer and reception of the medium M are performed by a transporting arm 36 of the medium transporting mechanism 31.
