Disclosed is a behind-the-ear radio device including an antenna element and a passive element in a device wearable behind an ear, the passive element serving as a reflector so that the antenna directivity is aligned with a line of sight of the user. In a behind-the-ear radio device (100) including a body case (A) (101) having a radio circuit (105) and a sound pipe (102) for communicating a voice to an ear, the sound pipe (102) is integrally connected to the body case (A) (101) such that the radio device (100) may be wearable behind the ear. An antenna element (104) having a length of substantially half of wavelength is disposed in a hollow part of the sound pipe (102), and a passive element (107) (reflector) having a length of substantially half or more of wavelength is disposed in the body case (A) (101). Because of such configuration, the passive element (107) functions as a reflector, and in a state wherein the behind-the-ear radio device is hooked behind an ear, antenna directivity may be aligned with a line of sight (2) of a user so that communication performance with a television set etc. located in a direction of the line of sight may be improved.
