A terminal and a control method thereof which various kinds commands of a user conveniently inputs are provided to perform a corresponding function by conveniently searching the desired item of various kinds of items which are stored within a terminal by a user. Virtual key buttons for call connection according to a telephone number is displayed(S51). A keyword is inputted(S52). The keywords are displayed in the background of the respective virtual key buttons(S53). The various kinds commands of a user conveniently are inputted to the terminal.
