摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive pressing force restricting mechanism for a self-servo type brake device having small volume dedicated to the device by using one self-servo mechanism and one restricting mechanism during forward and backward traveling. <P>SOLUTION: A top part of toggle member 11 is journaled 11A to a support part of an inner pad 3, and the toggle member 11 can be oscillated using each both bottom part 11B, 11C as a fulcrum. The restricting mechanism 21 for restricting the situation where self-servo action generated by the toggle member 11 exceeds a predetermined value is provided. Due to this configuration, the oscillation fulcrum of the toggle member 11 can be freely selected, and self-servo action by the toggle member 11 is enabled also during backward traveling, permitting adoption of an actuator with a small capacity. Moreover, when the self-servo action generated by the toggle member 11 is excessive large, the self-servo action is effectively released by the restricting mechanism 21 and restricted. Thus, the size of the actuator can be reduced without excessively increasing output of the actuator, and damage of a pad and a caliper body can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
