PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment for improving operability by expanding its range of operation. SOLUTION: This electronic equipment includes a light-receiving element 32 that receives an optical signal Si emitted from the outside, a cabinet 4 that accommodates the light-receiving element 32 and includes a light-receiving opening 421 through which the optical signal Si passes, and a cover member 31 that locks out the light-receiving opening 421 and penetrates the optical signal Si. The electronic equipment is operated in accordance with an optical signal So received by the light-receiving element 32.
