661,735. Stapling machines. LARSSON, O. E. July 14, 1949 [Aug. 16, 1948], No. 18611/49. Class 89 (iii). In a stapling machine in which carton blanks 9 are fed past stapling mechanism 22 by feed belts 8 and pressure rollers 10, starting and stopping of the stapling mechanism is effected by the carton blanks through an electrical control comprising a spring-opened switch 16, which is closed by a blank 9, and remains closed until the blank clears it, and a bucket wheel 17, which by means of a vane wheel 19, momentarily closes a spring-opened switch 18 to energise a solenoid 20 which starts the stapling mechanism. The solenoid remains energised due to the closure of a switch 24 by its core 21 until the switch 16 is opened. Side guide and feed belts 7 are provided for the carton blanks. |
