<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for manufacturing ammonia from urea. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes steps wherein (a) an aqueous solution of urea or urea mixture is heated in a hydrolyzing reactor to prepare a gaseous ammonia-containing product substantially containing no urea, biurette or ammonium carbamate, (b) the product is separated from a liquid phase aqueous reaction medium at its operation pressure, (c) the liquid phase aqueous reaction medium is kept in the reactor to further convert to a gaseous ammonia and carbon dioxide and/or at least a part of the reaction medium is returned and recycled to the reactor being a urea dissolving tank or the supply solution is recycled to the reactor to further convert and (d) the product containing the gaseous ammonia and carbon dioxide separated at the step (b) is taken out at a controlled speed so as to satisfy need demand and the temperature in the hydrolyzing reactor is not controlled but the pressure is changed according to the ammonia or the need or demand to ammonia and the operation temperature of the reactor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
