摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerating method which is a method for regenerating a molasses refining apparatus for passing molasses through a strongly acidic cation exchange resin layer, then through a basic anion exchange resin layer and is capable of preventing the leakage of amphoteric organic matter, such as amino acids, captured in the strongly acidic cation exchange resin into the treated molasses by efficiently desorbing the amphoteric organic matter described above. SOLUTION: An alkaline regenerating agent (NaOH) is brought into contact with the basic anion exchange resin 16 and the waste liquid of the regeneration (the waste water of NaOH regeneration) is brought into contact with the strongly acidic cation exchange resin 10. As a result, the basic anion exchange resin is regenerated and the amphoteric organic matter, such as amino acids, captured in the strongly acidic cation exchange resin is desorbed. An acid regenerating agent (HCl) is thereafter brought into contact with the strongly acidic cation exchange resin, by which the strongly acidic cation exchange resin is regenerated.
