A timed metadata sample can be paired with media or hint samples since a sample number contained in the time media sample is provided relative to the "appropriate media or hint track. Additionally, an offset of sample numbers, applicable to scenarios where a plurality of timed metadata samples exist, may be added to the provided sample number to obtain the actual sample number within the media or hint track. |
