<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for a vehicle and an electric parking braking device that suppresses shortage of start torque, by suppressing the blocking factor of fuel consumption improvement. <P>SOLUTION: This drive unit 100 for the vehicle is provided with a start intention detection means 52 for detecting the start intention of a driver; a braking means 50 for opening braking force, without the operation of a crew when the start intention is detected; a driving means 60 for driving the vehicle; a driving force operation means 12 for operating driving force of the driving means 60; and target torque determination means 16 and 17 for determining the target torque of the driving means, according to the manipulated variables of the driving force operation means 12. This drive unit 100 for the vehicle is provided with a torque changing means 55 for, when a start intention detection means 52 detects the start intention, and the control means 50 opens the braking force without the operation of the crew, making the target torque to be determined by the target torque determination means 16 and 17 larger, as compared with the case where the braking means opens the braking force, according to the operation of the crew. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
